Access Northern Ireland (AccessNI) Checks...
For applicants that will be working in Northern Ireland there are three levels of criminal record checks.
Basic
Contains convictions considered unspent under The Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974. This service is available to individuals to apply for their own record only.
Standard
Contains details of all convictions held on the Police National Computer including current and 'spent' convictions as well as details of any cautions, reprimands or final warnings.
Enhanced
Contains all conviction information, spent and unspent, and any other non conviction information considered to be relevant by the police or other Government bodies.
The information included in the disclosure will depend on the level of disclosure applied for.

Published performance targets for Access Northern Ireland are; Basic Disclosure 90% within two weeks, Standard Disclosure 90% within three weeks and Enhanced Disclosures 90% within four weeks.
