Disclosure Scotland Checks...

For applicants that will be working in Scotland, there are three levels of criminal record check:

Basic

Contains convictions considered unspent under The Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974. This level of disclosure can be applied for electronically through our new web based e-application route.

Standard

Contains details of all convictions held on the Police National Computer including current and 'spent' convictions as well as details of any cautions, reprimands or final warnings.

Enhanced

Contains all conviction information, spent and unspent, and any other non conviction information considered to be relevant by the police or other Government bodies.

The information included in the disclosure will depend on the level of disclosure applied for.

Disclosure Scotland has a Service Level Agreement (SLA) to produce 90% of all types of Disclosure, for a correctly completed application with no further enquiries, within 14 calendar days.  This is measured from the day Disclosure Scotland receive the application to the day of dispatch.

Disclosure Services administration fee from £5.00 + VAT per application

There are no other charges.
