Changes to how we will process applications
Disclosure Scotland has been working closely with the Scottish Government to identify a list of prioritised sectors that are critical in helping with the continued fight against the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
As of today, the list of prioritised sectors is:
- Social work
- Social care
- Prisons and justice
Along with identifying these sectors, Disclosure Scotland has had to temporarily change the way they process applications to ensure that critical applications are processed as a priority.
What does this mean for my organisation?
If you have submitted an application to Disclosure Services this week, commencing 30th of March and it should be considered critical due to you working in or supporting one of the priority sectors outlined above, please contact us and let us know so that we can locate the applications and push them through as priority for you.
If you have submitted an application this week, commencing 30th of March and it isn’t considered critical, Disclosure Scotland have assured us that these applications will not be disregarded and will be processed when they have capacity.
This inevitably means that some non-critical applications will be delayed.
Going forward and for the foreseeable future, it is incredibly important to include a job role along with the phrase ‘COVID-19‘ for Disclosure Scotland applications that are to be considered as critical in the fight against Coronavirus.
