Important update from Disclosure Scotland

Changes to Disclosure Scotland application processing

In their ongoing fight against Coronavirus, Disclosure Scotland will now ONLY be processing applications for critical workers until further notice.

Disclosure Scotland has been working closely with the Scottish Government to identify a list of prioritised sectors that are critical in helping with the continued fight against the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

As of today, the list of prioritised sectors is:

  • Healthcare
  • Pharmaceutical
  • Childcare
  • Social work
  • Social care
  • Prisons and justice

Ministers have suspended fees for urgent disclosures for Coronavirus response workers. You do not have to pay for forms emailed before midnight on 11 May 2020.

For the foreseeable future, it is incredibly important that ONLY applications for critical workers in Scotland are submitted to Disclosure Services and that every application includes a job role along with the phrase ‘COVID-19‘.

Any applications that are not critical or do not contain the job role along with the phrase ‘COVID-19‘ will be rejected, in which case your payment will be refunded.

We will keep you updated with any Disclosure Scotland updates as and when we get them
